Perfect Ending – Albert Pujols Wins Comeback Player of the Year
If you tried to write a script for Hollywood, you couldn't come up with a better ending than what Albert Pujols did this year in real life. He has been named Major League Baseball's National League Comeback Player of the Year.

Major League Baseball made the official announcement this week that Albert Pujols is the 2022 Comeback Player of the Year. They noted that "he signed with the Cardinals only 10 days before Opening Day and proceeded to turn back the clock in his 22nd and final big league season." The only player to hit more home runs in the 2nd half of the 2022 season was Aaron Judge. Remarkable.
He began his career with the St. Louis Cardinals making the big league club in 2001 winning the Rookie of the Year that season. He was named National League Most Valuable Player 3 times.
Next plaque coming Albert's way in 5 years...will be awarded to him in Cooperstown. We cannot wait to celebrate then, too.
