According to a new ranking called 2023's Dirtiest Cities in America published on the website lawnstarter.com, Kansas City is Missouri's dirtiest city. Kansas City is the highest-ranking city on the list coming in at 44th, which isn't a great ranking but it certainly not top ten like Houston, Newark, Detroit, Fresno, and Oklahoma City which are all in the top 10 dirtiest. On the site they say...

"LawnStarter ranked 2023’s Dirtiest Cities in America following one of the trashiest times of the year, the winter holiday season. We compared over 150 of the biggest U.S. cities across four categories, including pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction."

Kansas City ranks 37th in pollution, and 34th in living conditions, but does rank 69th in infrastructure and 77th in consumer satisfaction.

Where do some of the other Missouri cities land on this list? Well, Springfield is right behind Kansas City ranking in at number 46th on the list, meanwhile, St. Louis fairs much better coming in ranked at 92nd on the list, to see the full list for yourself click here!

Dirty can mean different things to different people, and any city that has a larger population center is going to feel and seem dirtier than other cities. That is why I am a little shocked that Kansas City is so high on this list because everything I know about Kansas City is that it is sprawled out, and there is a lot of space. Meanwhile, shout out to my hometown of Chicago ranking 96th on the list wayyyyy behind New York, and Los Angeles.
