This beautiful mansion, built in 1899, is covered in mahogany paneling and, oak linenfold paneling and takes you back in time to what it was like living in St. Louis in the late 1800s. This $2.5 million home is in St. Louis, Missouri, and reminds me so much of a grand English home that you see on TV. However, when you walk in and see the grand staircase, there is a section where the stained glass is just too beautiful not to stop and appreciate.

Missouri Mansion is a Time Capsule to St. Louis' History

The house is not tiny by all means and I can't imagine the kind of furniture it would take to fill this home. It's just over 15,00 square feet with eight bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms in the heart of St. Louis. Can you imagine the parties that took place when this house was first built? The grand balls, the dinners, man of these walls could talk I am sure it would have a ton to say. It truly is an amazing home and part of the history of St. Louis

I am sure that back in 1899 there was just land and parks surrounding the home and it wasn't so busy having horse-drawn carriages bring people to the house, would have been a fun time to live in St. Louis.
