Missouri’s Most Dangerous Highway Spans 338 Miles
As we prepare for the unofficial start of summer, many of us will be hitting the road this Memorial Day weekend, and there's one Missouri highway where you'll want to use extra caution.
Most Dangerous Road in Missouri
Let’s be honest, driving in Missouri can be dangerous, no matter where you are. When you get behind the wheel, you’ve got to stay alert and aware of everything around you. But there’s one Missouri highway that consistently ranks as one of the most dangerous in the Show-Me State: Missouri’s US 63.
Missouri Route US 63 is the largest north–south highway in the Midwest, with 338 miles of it running through the Show-Me State. According to Travel Alot, between 2008 and 2017, there were 158 crashes along this stretch, resulting in 179 fatalities.

Take Your Time This Holiday Weekend
With more people on the road this weekend, it’s safe to say that if you have to travel on US 63, take your time, stay alert, watch the drivers around you, and always put the phone down.

Make sure everyone in your car gets to your destination and back home safe and sound. Sadly, with the holiday weekend, there will likely be people drinking and driving. Stay alert and drive smart so everyone can make it home safely.
