It's time for Quincy to 'Light the Park' once again! The holiday tradition of turning on the lights at Washington Park in downtown Quincy returns this Saturday, November 26th. According to the Light the Park Facebook event page, the event starts at 6 pm and goes until 8 pm, the event page goes on to say...

"Come ring in the holiday season with free cookies and hot chocolate! The Low Brass Ensemble from the Quincy Concert Band will make a special appearance and dancers from Vancil Dance Group will perform. The ceremony also features Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with fun holiday surprises. More information in the weeks to come on this fun, family-friendly event, so be on the lookout here on our event page. We hope to see you in downtown Quincy."

This is such a great family fun event. As I write this article, on Tuesday afternoon, the weather looks good for Saturday night too! There is just something so special about seeing Quincy's historic downtown come to life with the holiday lights, while listening to music, watching the dancers, having a hot beverage, and getting to see Santa, you just can't beat it.

Colorful Quincy
