Need a late summer food festival to visit? Illinois is home to one of the best, and it’s coming up in just a few weeks.

Don't Miss the World’s Largest Food Festival in Illinois

If you’re looking for one last getaway before the busy season of school events and homework kicks in, consider heading to Chicago to experience one of the best food festivals around:  Taste of Chicago. It's the largest food festival in the WORLD, all set in Grant Park.

When Is Taste of Chicago 2025?

The food festival has been growing since 1980, when it first took place in Chicago, and each year it grows and grows. This massive food festival runs September 6–8 and is the largest in Illinois. Admission is free, and you’ll find all the deep-dish pizza you can imagine.

It’s the perfect spot for someone like me who may not consider themselves a foodie but wants to try a little bit of everything. You might even discover something you thought you’d never like but end up loving.
