Inside Abandoned Old Famous Barr Building in St. Louis, Missouri

This used to be a big shopping destination in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, but now it's a building in extreme disrepair and decay. Recent investigation by urban explorers show what remains inside the now abandoned old Famous Barr building.

I just came across this urban exploration of the old Famous Barr building in downtown St. Louis, Missouri which is also known as the Railway Exchange Building. Art of Exploration on YouTube shared what they found inside from earlier this year.

I don't remember how old I was, but my mom took me on a shopping trip to this building in St. Louis when I was younger and it was bustling with people at that time which would have been in the early 1970's. In that era, big department stores were all the rage before malls took over in the 1980's and 90's. Now, it's an online world and buildings like this sit empty and decaying. It's a far cry from the building I remember from 50 years ago.
