There have been rumors that In-N-Out Burger was considering a Missouri location. That hasn't become a reality yet, but there is now official confirmation that the legendary burger brand will soon be only 4 hours away from our border.
For those who love In-N-Out Burger, the loyalty is almost cult-like. That's why news of expansions by them are big news. Now, thanks to a report by Local Memphis, we know that In-N-Out Burger has officially filed plans with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development to open a branch there. The exact address where construction is set to begin according to their report is 5341 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee which means it will be near to this location as seen on Google Street View.
What's the big deal about In-N-Out Burger coming to Tennessee if you live in Missouri?
There are two reasons. In-N-Out officially expanding to Tennessee puts them right on Missouri's doorstep which would make the St. Louis area the next logical place to plant a new restaurant. There have been rumors over the past couple of years that In-N-Out was looking at coming to Missouri, but those have been denied - for now. Second, if you don't think many in Missouri will road trip to Memphis when this new In-N-Out opens, you're underestimating In-N-Out Burger fans. The fact that Memphis is barely over a 4 hour drive from Missouri will be an easy road trip for In-N-Out fanatics.
