23 Illinois Trader Joe’s Recalling Water Due to Laceration Hazard
If you've picked up sparkling water at an Illinois Trader Joe's recently, you might want to check those bottles. The federal government has issued a recall of them that will affect all 23 Illinois store locations.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has just issued a bulletin alerting everyone that 61,500 Gerolsteiner 750ml Sparkling Water Bottles are a laceration risk. This is what the bottles look like.
What is the problem with these bottles are why are they under an urgent recall?
The USCPSC alert says that these water bottles can crack which makes them a risk of cutting whoever is drinking them.
How do you know if you have one of the recalled bottles from Illinois Trader Joe's?
The USCPSC says this is what you need to look for:
"The lot number is located on the lower part of the label. Affected bottles have a lot number 11/28/2024 L or 11/27/2024 L."
If you find that you have the recalled bottles, you should not consume them and return them to the location you purchased them from for a full refund.
