
Beware, 50 New Illinois Traffic Cameras are Coming – 16 Next Week
If you have a heavy foot and drive in Illinois, you need to know that 50 new speed cameras are incoming and 16 are scheduled to go live this coming week.
Never underestimate what you can learn when you hang out on the Illinois sub-Reddit. One person just clued everyone in about some new traffic developments in the state. They shared 16 new traffic camera locations which will be live beginning the week of March 31, 2025.

I believe this information originated on Block Club Chicago who said that 50 more traffic cameras are planned for deployment in the next year.
I would never advocate speeding. I was in a high-speed crash in high school and I don't recommend it to anyone, but I do think the public has the right to know when their actions are being watched and that will definitely increase in Illinois beginning next week.
