6 Illinois School Districts Just Given the Lowest Grade Possible

Well, at least they tried. That was my defense of 6 Illinois school districts that were just given the lowest possible grade for academics.

It would be inappropriate for someone like me to be judging whether a school district is doing a good job or a bad one. That's what the respected website Niche just did though and some school districts didn't fare as well as others. They look at academics, sports, teachers and diversity among other factors before deciding which school districts have excelled and which ones haven't.

This is the naughty list when looking just purely at academics. All of these Illinois school districts got a D in that category:

• Odin Public School District No. 722 - Odin, Illinois
• Silvis School District No. 34 - East Moline, Illinois
• La Salle Elementary School District No. 122 - La Salle, Illinois
• Dolton School District No. 149 - Calumet City, Illinois
• West Harvey-Dixmoor Public School District No. 147 - Harvey, Illinois
• Ford Heights School District No. 169 - Ford Heights, Illinois

Several of these Illinois school districts got a D- for academics which is the teacher's way of saying "I should have flunked you, but let you squeak by". Trust me, I would know things like this.

It's a brand new list so maybe these Illinois school districts forgot to turn in some homework? Stuff happens.
