Gas Chain Voted Best in Nation Now Only Has 2 Illinois Locations?

You would think that a gas station chain that was just voted the best in America would have zillions of locations across the country. In this case, that's very much not true. As a matter of fact, the chain is only present in 6 states and there are only 2 Illinois locations.

When I first saw the new USA Today Reader's Poll selection for the best gas station brand in America, I was certain that I had stopped by numerous places in Illinois. Either my memory is bad (likely), I'm mistaken (also likely) or there's a Mandela Effect thing happening (probably not likely).

How many Kwik Trip locations are there in Illinois?

Answer - Only 2

Scrape Hero says that Kwik Trip has 2 Illinois locations, but the truth is I've only been able to locate one of them on the actual Kwik Trip store locator page and that's in Rochelle, Illinois. That store is a Kwik Star station which is a part of the Kwik Trip family. There's allegedly another mystery Kwik Trip in Illinois that I have yet to locate. Confused yet?

The readers of USA Today apparently chose Kwik Trip because of their bakeries and locally-sourced milk. Can't argue with that kind of logic, but I do find it odd that so many people go to a gas station for bread and milk.
