Illinois Delivery Guy Allegedly Stealing What He Just Delivered?

If you think about it, he's wearing the ultimate disguise that should make this kind of crime much easier. A doorbell security video appears to show a delivery guy in Illinois allegedly stealing what he just delivered to the home.

WGN-TV just shared video of what they say is an Oak Park, Illinois delivery man delivering a package to a home. This happened on December 15 where the Amazon delivery driver brings a package to the door and appears to be looking at the surroundings and then taking a package back with him to the delivery vehicle.

Here's an interesting twist to this story that is likely to not please those who also have expected deliveries soon. They contacted Amazon about the alleged theft and say that the company said they are not responsible for the delivery drivers as they are a third-party company that executes the deliveries.

The good news for the home owner is Amazon does have a process where you can report a package not delivered, but that would obviously be more complicated when the tracking will show the package as having been delivered.

Let's hope this Oak Park, Illinois homeowner is able to get compensated for the theft and the driver (if proven guilty) is brought to justice.
