For awhile, the Blackberry phone was one of the most popular smartphones in the world. That era came to a quick end once the iPhone was born which led to Blackberry eventually vacating a huge tower they owned in Illinois. Urban explorers took one last look inside before the building met the wrecking balls.

Stringer media on YouTube just shared this video which is actually kind of retro. They snuck a peek inside the abandoned Blackberry tower in the Chicago area before it was demolished. They found the power still on and even elevators operational right up until its demolition.

As they mentioned in their video, this Illinois tower was demolished in December of 2023 not long after their investigation there. While it was only a shadow of its former self, you could still see remnants of the corporate office life that this place had a couple decades ago before the iPhone took the Blackberry market share away.
