Hannibal’s Big River Comic Convention Moves to New Location
Yet another Hannibal event has had to move to a new venue because of flooding at Bear Creek and the Mississippi River. The Big River Comic Convention is slated for this Saturday, April 13th will now be held at the Tabernacle of Praise recreational complex just off Highway 36. Flooding at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center forced the change in location. The new location has plenty of parking, with two gyms and a stage so it should be able to accommodate the crowd expected.
The Comic Con in Hannibal features much more than comic books of yesteryear. You'll also find toys, cosplay, sci-fi and fantasy themes, anime and gaming. To find out more or to join the conversation, check out the Big River Comic Con Facebook page.
One of the featured guests will be actor Bishop Stevens. Stevens has appeared in hit TV shows such as Chicago P.D. and Empire. He will also be the lead in the upcoming prologue movie and made-for-TV series, "The Steampunk Adventures of Salem Tusk", based on the Marvel comic series by the same name.
