Missouri Animal Shelter Too Full to Take More Pets
The Northeast Missouri Humane Society has reached a critical point where they have reached capacity and can no longer accept new pets until something changes.
I saw this share a few minutes ago by the Northeast Missouri Humane Society in Hannibal on their Facebook page.
How can someone help the Northeast Missouri Humane Society?
There are many things you can do to help this situation. The Northeast Missouri Humane Society has many different types of pets available for adoption. But, there's also an option that does not require a long-time commitment and that's becoming a foster family for a pet. If you have the home and the means to provide a cat or a dog a place to live for a period of time, that would greatly help the full capacity situation at the Northeast Missouri Humane Society. Any and all help is appreciated and they remind everyone to be kind to their staff. They know it's frustrating if you need to put a pet up for adoption, but they are literally doing everything they can possibly do right now. Let's hope many families find a place for the available pets that they already have.
