Guy Fieri’s Top Burger is from Missouri Place That’s Closed Now?

You would think that having food celebrity Guy Fieri's praise would be enough to make your restaurant a huge success. For one Missouri joint, that didn't turn out to be the case as they did make what Guy said was one of his favorite burgers ever, but it appears that are now gone forever.

I saw Food Network share what they say are 15 of Guy Fieri's favorite burgers that have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Near the top, you'll find the Suribachi Burger from Swagger Fine Spirits & Food in Kansas City, Missouri.

There's just one tiny problem. As Yelp confirms, Swagger Fine Spirits & Food in Kansas City didn't survive. The picture above was from 2014. This is what the building looks like now. It's a Thai food place named Waldo.

Guy Fieri has done 27 episodes of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in Missouri over the years, but there are many of these places that have not been able to stay in business. I will admit that I'm a little surprised that what looks like a new list from Food Network of Guy Fieri's favorite burgers would include a Missouri place that sadly didn't make it. Just goes to show you that even a food celebrity's magic touch sometimes just isn't enough.
