Got a Milk Allergy? Here’s a Hy-Vee Recall in Missouri & Illinois
If you have a milk allergy, you need to know about a recall that is affecting products sold in both Missouri and Illinois.
The Food and Drug Administration about this recall in a press release from Gilster Mary Lee Corporation in Steeleville, Illinois. It involves the recall of what they describe as "one lot" of Hy-Vee Hamburger Chili Macaroni Skillet Meal. This is what the box looks like if you want to check your pantry as shown on the Hy-Vee website.
The recall only affects the product with the UPC code "UPC 75450-08552". The FDA alert says "people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious life- threating allergic reaction if they consume this product".
The FDA says this product was sold "at Hy-Vee Retail Stores and Dollar Fresh Market Stores in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin."
The FDA advisory says if you have this Hy-Vee product, you can return it to the store for a full refund or you're advised to discard it.
