Make your plans for Friday's lunch to be at Texas Roadhouse in Quincy. That is where the Quincy Police Department will be serving you a "free" lunch and waiting tables for Special Olympics from 11 to 2. What's that catch you ask? Really there is none. All the police officers are asking is that you leave a generous tip. They will turn over 100% of the tips received to the Special Olympics-Illinois.

The staff of the Texas Roadhouse, which is usually not open for lunch, will be on hand to prepare the lunches requested Friday and assist the officers on hand. The event is being held not only to raise funds but to also bring awareness about Special Olympics.

If you have any questions or for more information, contact the Pro-Act Office at the Quincy Police Department at 228-4485 or Matt Slezak at 221-4600.
