Farmer’s Almanac Warns of ‘Wild Ride’ Winter in Missouri
If you have been hoping that Missouri would see more snow this upcoming winter than it did last year, you'll be pleased to know that Farmer's Almanac has just shared their prediction and they say Missouri is in for a 'wild ride'.
Winter doesn't begin until December 21, 2025, but Farmer's Almanac has already looked into the future and predicted what's coming for Missouri.
Farmer's Almanac begins their upcoming winter outlook with three key words: "Chill, Snow, Repeat" and that's an accurate description of what they foresee Missouri's winter being like.
They use the phrase "classic winter wonderland" and talk about a wetter than average winter. The cold and snow may even extend as far south as Texas based on their predictions.
How does Farmer's Almanac predict weather?
They say they can forecast weather trends by "studying sunspot cycles, solar activity, tidal forces, and even the reversal of winds in the stratosphere over the equator". Cycles of the moon also play a role in how weather develops. Are they right about the upcoming winter in Missouri? We'll find out soon enough although Missouri has Fall to deal with first. Time will tell the tale about this winter forecast that is still more than 4 months in the future.
