Do you think the time change in the Spring and Fall months is a good idea? If you've been wondering about when the Fall back time change is, you might also be interested to know that Missouri might not soon.

I had to Google this question myself because I can never figure out exactly what weekend the Fall time change happens. USA Today recently confirmed it's the early morning hours of Sunday, November 3, 2024. 2am specifically, but generally speaking you can set the clocks back an hour when you go to bed Saturday night, November 2, 2024 and you're good.

There is a serious movement in Missouri to end the Daylight Savings Time observation once and for all. St. Louis University had details about how a majority of voters are sick of the time changing and just want the clocks to be left alone in both Spring and Fall. There was a SLU/YouGov Poll back in February where they had hundreds of Missourians quizzed about their time change preferences. 31% want standard time year round while only 19% think this seasonal time change is a good thing.

Should Missouri continue to observe Daylight Savings Time or should this go the way of the dinosaurs? There are many who argue that changing the time twice per year is hard on our bodies. I would agree.

I know there originally were business reasons why this time changing was put in place, but surely there's a better way now. Until legislation changes things, prepare to set those clocks back an hour on November 3 and enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
