Sometimes you just have to laugh at the advice of "experts". This is one of those times. A new ranking of the best and worst states to move to includes a warning about Missouri meaning you should never ever even think about it really.

To their credit, the Consumer Affairs people put a lot of thought and data into this very new ranking of the best and worst states to move to. The 5 categories they considered include "affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life, and safety".

If you want to find Missouri on their list, you'll need to scroll awhile as the Show Me State was buried near the bottom of their list at #34. Poor scores in education, economy and safety hurt Missouri's chances of getting recommended as a good destination. The ironic part (to me) was that Missouri was scored as the 12th best state for quality of life. Shouldn't that be the one of the most important things? I mean you move somewhere to be happy, correct?

For what it's worth, they rank Utah as the best state in America to move to which means they've never driven through the western half of that state which is like Death Valley with some salt added. Perhaps I'm just being bitter (or would that be salty?).

If nothing else, it's an interesting ranking of the best states to move to allegedly if you want to check out the full list for yourself.
