There are some restaurant chains that feel like they've been around as long as I've been alive and this is one of them. It's been a struggle for food places, though, and there is a new report saying they will shut down 150 locations this year which likely will affect the 26 restaurants still open in Missouri.

Restaurant Dive is reporting that Denny's plans to close 150 locations by the end of 2025. This new report has now added more locations to the list that have been earmarked for closure for underperformance and/or lease expirations.

If you look at Denny's locations in Missouri today, you'll see they maintain 26 restaurants in the state:

Arnold (1)
Branson (1)
Hazelwood (1)
Independence (1)
Joplin (2)
Kansas City (1)
Kingdom City (1)
Lake St Louis (1)
Lebanon (1)
Maryland Heights (1)
Neosho (1)
Peculiar (1)
Raytown (1)
Rolla (1)
Saint Charles (1)
Saint Louis (3)
Saint Peters (1)
Springfield (1)
Sullivan (1)
Troy (1)
Warrenton (2)
Wayland (1)

The Restaurant Dive report does not mention which locations in Missouri (if any) will be affected by this new round of closures. The chain closed 88 locations last year and there were 30 in just the last 3 months of the year alone, so it likely won't be long before we learn the fate of the Missouri Denny's restaurants that are still hanging in there.
