Riddle me this, Batman. What Missouri town has zero population, but has a mystery person guarding it? I have no idea why, but based on recent reports, that is what's going on in a now-abandoned Missouri place.

Do you remember when we shared the story of the odd town of Corning, Missouri with 0 population?

World Population Review confirmed there is officially a population of 0 in Corning, Missouri now. This is one of the few buildings that remains in this forgotten Missouri place.

Farmer's Publishing confirmed that Corning, Missouri was unincorporated back in 2023 when the final residents there left. But, the story of Corning, Missouri is not done yet. Urban explorers on Reddit said just a few weeks ago that they went to this now absolved Missouri town to take pictures, but were chased off by a mystery person. They said "I wish we could have explored more, but the single person who still live in the town caught us and felt like it was his job to protect the all the abandoned property in the entire town (we never stepped foot on his property)."

This begs the question of how a single person "who lives there" can guard a town that has no population? Some mysteries in Missouri are not meant to be solved it would appear.
