End of an Era – Demolition Photos of Missouri’s Chesterfield Mall

It used to be one of the premier shopping places in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Now, it's become a pile of rubble as there are new photos and video of the demolition of what used to be the Chesterfield Mall.

I just came across new video shared by Luby Equipment who are one of the companies that have been tasked with razing the Chesterfield Mall in Chesterfield, Missouri. Here are photos from just a few days ago. This demolition began back in October.

Many have been sharing videos on Instagram getting misty-eyed about what used to be a crazy cool shopping place.

A few were able to tour the mall right before the wrecking balls began their work.

The era of malls like this in Missouri being prominent are long gone now. It will be interesting to see what developers do with this land moving forward. Could they come up with something as compelling as the old mall used to be? Time will tell the tale.
