We're starting to get into that typical March severe weather pattern in Missouri where storm systems begin a pattern where instability can mean big thunderstorms. It appears a bomb cyclone is trying to form that could bring severe storms to Missouri late next week.

My wife, the meteorologist, mentioned the possibility last night and today I'm seeing many online weather experts talking about what could happen beginning Friday, March 14 into Saturday, March 15, 2025. Here is the low pressure system that models are showing could situate itself over the northwestern part of Missouri at the end of next week.

Storm chaser Reed Timmer is seeing the same thing.

It's way too early to say for sure that severe storms will develop over Missouri or anywhere else, but the possibility is there. Would be a good idea to pay close attention to National Weather Forecast alerts the closer we get to Saturday, March 15 and be aware of what could happen.
