Missouri Taco Place Named Best in America Forced to Change Name

I don't remember seeing this on the ballot in November, but there is a best taco place in America allegedly and it just might be in Missouri according to the internet. What many don't know is this "best of" taco place is now called something completely different as they were forced to change their name not that long ago.

I've seen friends sharing the Love Food declaration of the best taco "place" in America. Truthfully, it's not a best taco place as much as it's a best taco "places" with the top in each state being named. Their choice for Missouri makes a lot of sense. They first opened in the St Louis, Missouri Delmar Loop in 2013. I'm talking, of course, about Mission Taco which now isn't called that.

It was in the last half of last year that a controversy arose about Mission Taco in Missouri as another Mission that has to do with tacos apparently objected to their name.

I'm pretty sure it was KMOV in St. Louis where I first saw that Missouri's Mission Taco would now be called Session Taco.

I'm still not 100% certain that the name change transition has been completed yet as the St. Louis Cardinals website still shows Mission Taco among their ballpark vendors. The report from KMOV did say there was no timetable for the name change, so that's probably what's going on.

Congrats anyway to Mission Taco for being named the best taco place in Missouri. That's a cool national shout out no matter what your name is.
