New King of Missouri Steakhouses Was Named after a Classic Movie

I've never met a steak that I didn't like, but there's one place in Missouri that has been selected as the best of the best and it takes its name from one of the most classic movies of all time.

I must admit that I've never been much of a fan of food places being named the best since food taste is a very subjective thing. In this case, I do think that Love Food got this one right. When looking for the best steakhouse in Missouri for 2025, they looked at a place in Kirkwood.

Love Food chose Citizen Kane's in Kirkwood, Missouri and this is their stated reason why:

"Housed in an old Victorian home on the outskirts of St. Louis, it's everything you could ever want from a proper steakhouse. Customers particularly love the rib-eye"

Just like the movie where their name derived, this St. Louis, Missouri area steakhouse is truly a classic.

I don't get into the St. Louis area as much as I used to and when I do, the food choices normally have to include kid's meals, too, but if you're up for a steakhouse in Missouri, hard to do better than what this family in Kirkwood does.
