The top 10 choices from across the country included some of the nicest hotels in America, but number one on the list is in southern Missouri. Congratulations to Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri. They were named the absolute best hotel you can stay at during the holiday season.

The fact that Big Cedar Lodge is in the heart of the mountains in the Missouri Ozarks means the surrounding views are among the best in the state. They were praised by USA Today readers for having 4 million Christmas lights up during the holidays along with hosting a 5K Ugly Sweater walk/run, a holiday tram tour and ice skating that overlooks Table Rock Lake. That's a lot of holiday celebrating for one place, but the truth is that Big Cedar Lodge excels at having a wide variety of activities year-round. Their golf course is on my bucket list.
