FORE! – See the Golf Course Just Named the Best in Missouri
Do you love golf? If so, how many courses have you played in Missouri? There's one that was just named the best in the state and I can understand why. It is truly breathtaking.
I wish I had a nickel for every mower shed I've hit with a golf ball on a Missouri golf course. Yes, I know the sheds aren't in places where golf balls normally travel, but I'm really not very good at golf at all.
Yahoo Sports just shared the results of a new GolfWeek ranking which listed the best golf courses in Missouri which I believe originated from the Columbia Daily Tribune. They say this is as good as it gets for golf places in Missouri. Take a look at that view.
This is Ozarks National at Big Cedar Lodge designed by golf legends Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. I remember watching Ben play many a tournament on TV when I was a kid. He's obviously a legendary course designer, too.
Buffalo Ridge and Payne's Valley are #2 and #3 in Missouri according to this list and they're also located at Big Cedar Lodge. Is it time for a vacation yet? Asking for a friend.
My golf "game" (in parenthesis for a reason) is not worthy of glorious courses like this. Even normal public Missouri courses not designed by Ben Crenshaw deserve better than me and my not-even-Caddyshack level of golf are capable of. I understand why this course is widely considered the best in Missouri.
