I'm not as surprised by the parks that were included in this new survey as I was the omissions. On the positive side, an amusement park in Illinois was just named the 3rd best in America, but you should see the ones they left out.

This new ranking of amusement parks in America was just shared by Florida Rentals. They looked at the top 20 amusement parks with the most attendance over the past year and then ranked them based on these factors:

  • Size
  • Ticket Prices
  • Number of roller coasters and attractions
  • How many themed areas they have for visitors

#3 in America when it comes to amusement parks is Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois.

I have no problem with Six Flags Great America near Chicago being chosen as one of the best in America, but what about Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri? Am I wrong in thinking they were ranked #1 not that long ago? Plus, they've just announced that huge resort expansion, too. I agree with this person on Reddit.

Silver Dollar City is an ABSOLUTE GEM.

I realize these national rankings are no big deal to many, but there are thousands who make their vacation decisions by surveys like this and it's a shame that a Missouri choice couldn't at least make the top 20. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
