What have my eyes just witnessed? It would appear that a video just shared by the Aurora, Illinois police show bodycam footage of the Grinch taken down mighty hard.

There are few words sufficient for what you're about to witness. I just saw this YouTube short shared by WGXA showing bodycam video from the Aurora, Illinois Police Department. This appears to be a real theft attempt of the Aurora, Illinois Christmas tree or is it?

The video is legit, but is the crime real? How come I'm thinking there is someone in the Aurora, Illinois police department that's having a laugh on us? Surely there would not be a real man who would try to steal an Illinois city's Christmas tree while wearing a Grinch costume, would there?
