Astronaut Pics of Illinois from 254 Miles Above the Earth

You likely have seen Illinois before, but I can almost guarantee you've never seen it from this perspective. There are dozens of pictures taken by astronauts from aboard the International Space Station which give you a look at the Land of Lincoln from 254 miles above the Earth.

In case you're not familiar, NASA has thousands of pictures archived on their Gateway to Astronaut Photography website taken by astronauts. Here are more than a dozen that reveal Illinois from the most unique viewpoint that isn't on Earth.

One of the cool things about the NASA site is you can search for anyplace on the planet and there's almost certainly a picture of it taken by one of the space men/women at some point.
