The food handout, which was made possible by the USDA Farmers, was donated to the Families Food Box Program. The Quincy Family YMCA received around 1,400 boxes of food that will be distributed today from 4 pm - 6 pm. Anyone who lives in Adams County can stop by and receive a box, while supplies last. The last two times food was handed out, over 1,400 boxes where gone within 40 minutes.

Food boxes contain perishable food items such as milk, cheese, yogurt, squash and other sources of protein. If you are wanting a box of food or have any additional questions, you are asked to call Johanna Voss at 217-222-9622, ext. 207.

I'm sure there are many families out there that will be very appreciative of this donation made by the USDA, that will help in a time where help is needed now more than ever before.
