Now that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is officially a member of the NBC family, it's a possibility that the Pearsons and the 99th Precinct could, at some point, come into contact on our TV screens.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg teased the possibility of a crossover between his show and NBC drama This Is Us during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Monday (May 14), where he said he'd love to see "the entire cast of This Is Us" make a cameo on the comedy series.

The idea came after This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown made an appearance on Brooklyn Nine-Nine back in April.

"Sterling was on, he was so good," the actor gushed, joking, "I’m going to say something controversial, I think Sterling is good at acting. Keep your eyes peeled for that guy. He is going to be doing stuff."

Originally aired on Fox, on May 10 it was announced that the network would not renew Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a sixth season. Just one day later, following a fan outcry on social media, NBC picked the show up.

"They scooped us up, it’s a Christmas miracle," Samberg explained about the series' renewal, adding he doesn't think NBC will change the format "too much."

"I believe we are able to do bleeps and blurs now, so I’m looking forward to doing that. It’s basically everything I did at SNL," he revealed.
