It's true that you can't fully judge a book just by its cover, but there are some tiny towns in northwestern Missouri that you can tell have been left behind by time. They are now mostly abandoned and lonely places as a new exploration shows.

I saw this new video share this week by the What's Around the Bend? YouTube channel and it's in the area where Corning and Craig, Missouri are in the extreme northwestern corner of the state north of St. Joseph.

This part of Missouri has seen better days and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Just look.

I wonder what will happen to the multitude of small rural towns in Missouri that really aren't close to anything and likely will not see any real development in the near future. Corning, Missouri has a population of 3 and I wonder if nature will just be allowed to reclaim the land once all the people are gone. You have to figure that it's just a matter of time.
