What's Up Newp just shared the top 50 windiest cities in America and it's full of surprises. Two Missouri cities made the list and one is rated as windier than the Windy City itself.

The windiest cities ranking is based on average windspeed. That's science that makes sense.

What Missouri city is windier than even Chicago?

Chicago is surprisingly ranked at #35 among windiest cities with an average daily windspeed of 9.9 mph. But, that's lower than the Missouri city which is...(*drum roll*)...

Kansas City is ranked at #25 windiest city in America with an average windspeed of over 10.3 mph. That'll mess your hair up good.

Honorable mention in Missouri goes to Columbia which is ranked as the 44th windiest city with an average mess up your hair speed of 9.5 mph...not that much less than Chicago.

One other note to add is the ranking says that April not March is the windiest month for Chicago, Kansas City and Columbia. Go figure. So much for all those kite-flying stories in March I guess.

The entire windiest city ranking is interesting if you want to check it out. Wonder if KC will now give up the BBQ nickname for something windier? Asking for a friend.
