Some nights are impossible to forget for one reason or another. A Missouri man will likely never forget an infamous night where he believes 'monsters' trapped him by a sandbar along the river near St. Charles, Missouri.

Base Camp Chris is one of the great storytellers on YouTube. In this instance, it wasn't Chris telling a story as much as he was the interviewer for a man named Kevin from St. Charles, Missouri who had a harrowing encounter late one night fishing near the Missouri River.

This is the full AUDIO phone call interview I had with Kevin from Saint Charles, Missouri who in 1998 was solo fishing along the Missouri River late at night and had a frightening experience where he heard something in the forest that did not want him there before it tore the the forest and pushed over a large tree that almost took Kevin out!

It's important to hear Kevin explain what happened that night back in 1998 when someone (or something) didn't want him to escape.

While I would recommend listening to Kevin's own voice and words, here's a summary of what happened that night. He was solo fishing and had to traverse a heavily-wooded area to get to the river. He heard something large following him through the forest snapping trees in its path. His only escape from the river was back through the woods where he knew that someone (or something) was watching him.

Eventually, Kevin would have to walk back through those woods and when he did he saw a huge tree which had been pushed over by something. If it had not landed on another nearby tree, it would have taken him out.

His attempt at a quiet retreat eventually became a full-on sprint. He eventually made it to his truck and escaped. When he and a friend returned days later, they found evidence of the fallen trees from whatever creature was in those woods.

Was this a real encounter with a Missouri 'monster' or the result of a wild man's imagination? Only Kevin knows for sure what he experienced 25 summers ago near the river near St. Charles, Missouri.
