See All the Lost Items Being Auctioned at the Illinois State Fair
Over the decades, the state of Illinois has accumulated a lot of unclaimed stuff. Those items which remain not spoken for are about to be auctioned off at the Illinois State Fair and the state has just shared a list of everything that will be included.
The Illinois State Treasurer's Office has just made available a booklet chronicling all the unclaimed items that will be auctioned off at the Illinois State Fair on Saturday, August 19 beginning at 11am. The booklet looks like this.
The booklet includes 250 items that will be available. Here are some highlights from just one page.
But wait, there's more. You'll see all kinds of collectibles in this auction including numerous coins and tons of jewelry like watches, too.
Some things to note. This auction will happen on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11am on the Lincoln State at the Illinois State Fair. The booklet says that all these items can be previewed between 9a and 11a the morning of the auction.
Any items purchased during the auction have to be paid for and removed by the close of the auction. No exceptions. Looks like the state of Illinois will accept credit cards and cash. No mention if a briefcase full of IOU's would suffice.
Oh, and you'll also need to complete a registration before you can bid on anything which means make sure your driver's license is up-to-date. Check out the state's official brochure to see what else will be sold on the Lincoln State at the fair.
