It had to happen eventually, but it originated in Missouri. I'm talking about the burger that is made with meat and peanut butter also known as the Guberburger. You are welcome.

I'm a little late to the party on this great Missouri invention. I've just learned about it recently, but it was concocted back in the 1940's in Sedalia, Missouri. It' what Atlas Obscura refers to as the Guberburger. It's a burger that has more than a dash of peanut butter added to it and before you slam it for being a disgusting mess, you really should try one. Seriously.

The key is the amount of peanut butter you use. The Wheel Inn in Sedalia is famous for nailing the right percentage of peanut butter compared to burger.

The Guberburger in Missouri is one of the greatest examples of "don't knock it till you try it" that you'll ever see. What sounds like a nasty combination is really a delicacy. A delicacy that started in Sedalia, Missouri 80 years ago.

Try one and you'll understand why I say "You are welcome".
